Leitgedanke
Our guiding thought
Why this site speaks the way it does
Honesty and humanity — at once.
This site grew from a conviction: in health, what counts is not only what is measured, but also what a person feels. In test results and doctor’s appointments the emotional side is often left out — yet it is not a side note. What goes on in someone’s mind as they hear a diagnosis, no one can know from the outside. But the effect a sentence has — whether it paralyses or gives strength — is decisive for what follows.
That is why we hold two things at once here: honesty and humanity. The unavoidable is said, clearly and without sugar-coating. But it is said in a way that leaves a person able to act — not smaller, but a little more secure. Everything should be right not only medically, but also psychologically.
“The glass is half full” is not a slogan for us, but a stance. It embellishes nothing and hides nothing — it simply turns the gaze towards what is possible, doable and comforting, without bending the truth.
That is why we deliberately avoid controversial and fear-laden topics. Not out of convenience, but because conflict and fear sow uncertainty where relief is what is needed. We want to truly help — and, where we can, to ease the emotional burden of those affected.
Because at the centre stands not the illness, not the laboratory, not a product — but the person. They are the main actor in their own story.
